Honoring ANZAC Day through Community Participation

At Kandeer School we are proud to see our students actively participate in important community events that honor our nation’s history and values. Each year, our students take part in the ANZAC Day marches, demonstrating respect, remembrance, and a deep connection to our country’s heritage.

By joining the ANZAC Day commemorations, our students learn about the significance of sacrifice, courage, and service. This experience fosters a strong sense of community spirit and national pride, while encouraging reflection on the contributions of those who have served.

Our involvement in these marches is an important part of our commitment to developing well-rounded, respectful, and engaged citizens who understand the importance of remembering our past as they shape the future.

Coffee and Handball with a Cop

At Kandeer School, we proudly run the "Coffee with a Cop" program, where our students learn valuable barista skills and have the unique opportunity to engage with the community. Our students operate a coffee trailer at the Albury Police Station, serving coffee to police officers and community members. This program fosters positive interactions, builds trust, and encourages friendly conversations between our students, the local police force, and the wider community.

We are also fortunate to have the Murray River Police join us some mornings for a friendly game of handball, adding an extra element of fun and connection to our program.
